I hear two persisting themes on this record: raw electricity and animalistic communication. Barlast is usually categorized as a jazz or folk band, but to me this music sounds like a highly charged thundercloud passing by and electrifying all the animals it passes: birds, cows, mosquitos, cats... leaving humans speechless but animals louder than ever.

The physical LP includes animated paper discs with material adapted from our live cinema performance Breaks at Dawn.
